G Hotel Galway Wedding Photography

This fabulous couple, Peta and Scott, were married at a civil ceremony at the boutique G Hotel in Galway. These two were a real fun couple, Peta from Australia and Scott a Canadian who decided that instead of getting married in one of their home countries they’d get hitched somewhere neutral- they always had wanted to see Ireland so decided to have it in the beautiful city of Galway, and I’m so delighted they did as it was a day to remember!

They had a hand fastening at the ceremony and once the vows were exchanged we headed to the Claddagh Quay area of Galway which is a one of the many lovely wedding photography locations in the area for some bridal party photos. After that they decided to celebrate with a pint on the fantastically picturesque Quay Street where we met some locals and incorporated them in to our shots, before setting up a light and shooting a few more photos at the claddagh jewelry shop mural. Then we headed back to the G Hotel for the meal and hilarious speeches, the crowd were in stitches! The Molly Maguires band were outstanding, giving a great Irish beat to the proceedings, which the Aussies and Canadians really took too, they decided to give the Irish dancing a fine go before relinquishing the floor to the professionals. Fair play, for an international wedding with no Irish connections, they were some craic!
